Igor Zolotovitsky was born in the summer of 1861 in Tashkent, in a simple working-class family. From the fifth grade, the boy began to attend a theater studio. After graduating from school, he went to Moscow, however, he did not succeed in entering the theater for the first time - enrollment in universities was almost over. A year later, the young man made another attempt, and this time Zolotovitsky succeeded - he was taken to the Moscow Art Theater.
After receiving higher education, Igor in 1983 was admitted to the Moscow Art Theater. And the following year, the actor made his film debut - he played a young man named Rybakov in the family film Yegorka. To date, Igor Zolotovitsky's filmography includes works in the films Taxi Blues, Sunset, Summer Rain, Luna Park, Faster than Rabbits, Silver Lily of the Valley-2, Fool, Unexpected Joy. On the account of the actor, in total, there are already about fifty roles in films and television series.
In 1988, Zolotovitsky, together with friends, created a studio theater called "Man". The first performances staged on the stage of this theater - Elizaveta Bam at the Christmas tree near Ivanov and Chinzano - aroused great interest of the audience. With the production of Cinzano, the actors toured both their home country and foreign cities. Later Igor admitted that his role in this performance was a lottery ticket that gave a big boost to his career.
In 1989, Zolotovitsky took the position of a teacher at the Moscow Art Theater School. Since 1991, for six years, Igor taught classes in Paris. Then he returned to Moscow and again became a teacher at the Moscow Art Theater. Since 2013, he has been holding the post of rector at this educational institution.
