Michael Winterbottom (born March 29, 1961) - British screenwriter, director, producer and actor. He graduated from school in Blackburn, studied English language and literature at Baileyol College, Oxford University, then graduated from the film school of the University of Bristol. In 1989 he began working on television, and then in cinema.
