Born May 19, 1946 in the southern city of Ascoli Satriano, Italy. His family was poor. Michele studied at the school at the monastery, then went to the army, from where he was sent to serve in the police in Rome.

In this picture, full of hilarious situations, generously seasoned with piquant Italian humor, Placido plays the poor but ambitious and damn attractive Milo, who is trying to achieve the wealth of his uncle Carlo. He gained worldwide fame after the role of Commissioner Corrado Cattani in the television series "Octopus", where he played four seasons. In 1991, he played a Soviet officer in Vladimir Bortko's film Afghan Breakdown.
In the early 90s, Michele Placido made his directorial debut with the film "Tomato". And then he shot several more films as a screenwriter and producer.
