Violante Placido (Italian Violante Placido, born May 1, 1976) is an Italian actress and singer, the daughter of Italian actors Michele Placido and Simonetta Stefanelli. She made her film debut in children's roles, in a number of episodes with her father. She played her first major role in 2001 in the film "Soul Mate" (Italian: L'anima gemella) directed by Sergio Rubini. Later she starred in the films "Now or Never" by Lucio Pellegrini, "What Will Happen to Us" by Giovanni Veronesi, "Wherever You Are" by Michele Placido, "Dinner for Them" by Pupi Avati.
