Born on February 15, 1914 in Bayan-Aul, Semipalatinsk region, Russian Empire.
People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1947).
People's Artist of the USSR (1959) .
In 1931-1933 he studied at the Kazakh Institute of Education in Semipalatinsk.
In 1933-1947 he was an actor, in 1947-1951 he was the chief director of the Kazakh Drama Theater (Alma-Ata).
He has appeared in films since 1940 as an actor, director and co-writer of his films.
Since 1963 - First Secretary of the Board of the Union of Cinematographers of the Kazakh SSR. In 1984, his name was given to the Kazakhfilm film studio .
Tragically died on December 23, 1970, he was hit by a car in Moscow. He was buried in Alma-Ata at the Central cemetery.
