December 10, 1955, Barnaul, Altai Territory, USSR (Russia) - September 7, 2020, Moscow, Russia - Soviet and Russian actor and screenwriter.
Studied at secondary school number 40 in Barnaul. He attended several classes at the Saratov Theater School at the acting department (1975-1976). But he was not satisfied with the absurdity of the assignments voiced by the teacher, so he rushed to Moscow. In 1979 he graduated from the acting department of the State Institute of Theater Arts named after I. A. V. Lunacharsky. He worked at the Mayakovsky Theater, Lenkom, the Stanislavsky Theater and the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater.
He made his film debut in 1981 in the film Valentina by Gleb Panfilov.
The actor starred a lot during the years of perestroika, playing completely different roles.
For his role in the play "Dreams of Rodion Romanovich" in 2006 (Theater Association 814 Oleg Menshikov) was nominated for the theatrical prize "The Seagull".
