Was born on May 30, 1929 in Leningrad. Graduated from the Leningrad State Theater Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky. He worked at the Petrozavodsk Music and Drama Theater. In 1956 he was an actor of the Orenburg (Chkalovsky) theater. Since 1961 - in the troupe of Lenkom.
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1993) .
He passed away on February 5, 2011 in Moscow. He was buried at the Vostryakovskoye cemetery of the capital.
