Albert Brooks (born Albert Lawrence Einstein; born July 22, 1947, Beverly Hills, California, USA) - American film actor, comedian, screenwriter and filmmaker.
Albert Brooks began his career on radio, being invited there by his father, radio host Harry Park. In 1976, Brooks made his first film appearance, playing the romantic Tom in Martin Scorsese's dramatic thriller Taxi Driver. In 1987, the actor was nominated for an Academy Award for portraying Aaron Altman in James Brooks' comedy TV News .
A new wave of popularity came to the actor in 2011, with the release of Nicholas Winding Refna's crime thriller "Drive" on wide screens: the actor was awarded rave reviews from film critics, various film awards and a Golden Globe nomination.
