Born May 9, 1940 - American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He began his television career on the CBS channel, where he worked as a screenwriter in 1964-1966. Then he moved to ABC, where he worked on the television series Room 222. After that, he was noticed and in subsequent years, with his participation, such famous television shows in the United States were created as The Mary Tyler Moore Show (the program was a huge commercial success), Roda, Taxi and many others.
