American theater and film actress Marisa Tomei was born in New York in December 1964. Her father was a public attorney and her mother worked as an English teacher. Thanks to her parents who took Marisa to the theater from childhood, Tomei fell in love with art from an early age.
After graduating from school, in 1982 the girl became a student at Boston University. But just a year later, Marisa changed her place of study at New York University. However, Tomei never graduated from this institution, because she was offered her debut role in the television series. For her sake, Marisa sacrificed her studies.
