Born March 7, 1973 - American producer, director, actor, screenwriter, editor and cameraman.
Jay began his career as a screenwriter - along with his brother, he wrote scripts for several short films.
In 2005, Jay Duplass directed his first film, The Soft Chair, which won the South by Southwest Film Festival and won two nominations at the Independent Spirit or Independent Spirit Film Festival .
Jay Duplass directed his second film, The Baghead, in 2008 with his brother. This was followed by the Cyrus projects, starring Jonah Hill, Marisa Tomei, Catherine Keener and John C. Riley, the comedy Jeff Living at Home starring Jason Siegel, Ed Helms, Susan Sarandon and Judy Greer.
