John Michael Turturro (born 1957) is an Italian American actor, film director and screenwriter.
Playing mostly restless and nervous characters, John Turturro has become one of the favorite actors among fans of arthouse cinema. He actively collaborated with director Spike Lee, taking part in his films: "Do It Right!", "Hens" (English) Russian. "Girl Number 6", "Sam's Bloody Summer". And also, starting in the 1990s, he played in the films of the Coen brothers: Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski and Oh, where are you, brother? In the 2000s, Turturro took part in three parts of a successful commercial project: "Transformers", "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "Transformers 3: The Dark Side of the Moon" .
As a director, Turturro directed four films, and was also a producer of three feature films and one documentary.
