Adam Rothenberg is an American actor. Best known for his role as Captain Homer Jackson in the British television series Street of the Ripper.
Adam Rotenberg was born to Gillian and Kenneth Rotenberg in Tenafly, New Jersey on June 20, 1975. He has Jewish paternal roots and has six brothers and sisters.
In a 2008 interview with People magazine, Rotenberg discussed his professions before moving on to acting: “I was a garbage collector and a fact-checker for Mademoiselle magazine. The worst thing was working as a security guard: terrible twelve hour shifts at the elevator.
Rotenberg studied acting at an acting studio in New York under the direction of James Price. In New York, he worked extensively with the Chelsea Repertory Company & LAB and served in the army for two years from 1996 to 1997 in Germany. The Chicago Tribune also described Rotenberg's military experience as "a college graduate who was drafted into the army and served in an anti-aircraft unit in Germany," indicating that he was prepared for Stanley's role in Desire Streetcar in 2004. Rotenberg also starred in many theatrical productions in various theaters.
