Adam Lamberg was born in New York, his father is Mark and his mother is Suzanne, who is a high school teacher. The father is Jewish and the mother is of French-Canadian roots. Adam himself calls himself a "cultured Jew" .
Lamberg received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in geography.
