Mira Todorovskaya - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born on July 30, 1933. Director, General Producer of the Mirabelle studio .
In terms of the degree of risk and the number of stressful situations, the profession of a producer is similar to that of a test pilot, not to mention that it is a purely male job, or rather, creativity, if, of course, you are a professional, like Mira Todorovskaya.
For domestic cinema, a producer is a relatively young profession. And so now many do not understand what it is. The producer is confused with the investor, sponsor, director of the picture ... The producer, first of all, determines what to shoot. Reads scripts, chooses. His competence largely determines how the team is formed, how the shooting process is planned, how much funds are raised and how smoothly the work will go in the future ...
Studio "Mirabelle", founded by Mira Todorovskaya, in 2002 celebrated its tenth anniversary. Films made by the film company during this time need no introduction: "Anchor, still anchor!", "What a wonderful game", "Retro threesome", "Life is full of fun" by Pyotr Todorovsky, "Sentimental grotesque" by Marianna Tavrog, "The Secret of the Wife and the Beast "by Boris Blank ...
And before that there was life in Odessa, studying at the Institute of Naval Engineers, after which she was awarded the diploma of Lieutenant Engineer of the Navy. And she also participated in a student ensemble, in the repertoire of which was Todorovsky's most popular song at that time "Where are you, where are you, my beloved friend?" It was on the stage that the famous cinematographer and novice director Pyotr Todorovsky, who came to the shooting in Odessa, saw Mira, which conquered him at first sight. Since then, they have not parted. Becoming the wife of Peter Todorovsky, Mira changed her profession: she began to write scripts for popular science films - about the sea, ships and divers. More than thirty films have been shot based on her scripts. And the first work where she made her debut as a producer was "Intergirl". And this was a serious claim for the future: the situation in which Todorovsky's picture found itself put the film's release at risk. And only thanks to the producer the picture was miraculously saved. But fame came to Mira Todorovskaya in a completely different field, after the TV show "Take a step" with her participation. This talk show was dedicated to the layout of Moscow, which she owns and has been trying to save from death for twelve years. This model diorama was made in 1977 for the National Days of the USSR in America. In Los Angeles, people queued for two to three hours to see him. It was packed in 12 containers, each of which is more than ten meters long, and thus traveled all over the world, received the Gold Medal of the World Exhibition. But perestroika began - and everyone forgot about the layout. Mira Grigorievna bought and restored this masterpiece. Today the model is exhibited in the Tourism Industry pavilion on Nametkina Street.
To save and create - these qualities cannot be acquired, they are absorbed with mother's milk. And if Mira Grigorievna turns out to be a witness of another injustice, without hesitation, she rushes to the defense ...
Now Mira Todorovskaya, together with Petr Todorovsky, is implementing a grandiose project - she is shooting the film "Constellation of the Bull", which takes place during the Great Patriotic War. The release of the picture will be timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Victory, which is just around the corner.
