Michel Blanc was born on April 16, 1952 in a wealthy family in the city of Courbevoie.
While studying at the Lycee Louis Pasteur in Neuilly-sur-Seine (English), he met Christian Clavier, Gerard Junot and Thierry Lermitte. Subsequently, the friends created the French theater troupe "Le Splendid". In the beginning they played in the Montparnasse district, in a garage converted into a cafe-theater, before moving to Rue des Lombards. Then they eventually built their own theater on rue Faubourg-Saint-Martin.
