In 1967 she entered the Lycee Pasteur in the Parisian suburb of Neuilly-on-Seine, where she studied with future French film stars Michel Blanc, Gerard Jugno, Thierry Lermitte and Christian Clavier. Christian Clavier will later become her husband.
After receiving her diploma, Marie-Ann studied for two years at the university at the Faculty of History and Geography. And in 1974 the Lyceum friends created the Splendid theater troupe. By the way, they all studied at the theater courses of the actress Tsilla Chelton, known in particular for her leading role in the film "Tatie Danielle".
The first success came to the group "Splendid" in 1976 with the production of the play "Amour, coquillages et crustaces" (Love, shells and crustaceans). In 1978 - already a wide success with the viewer with the release of the comedy "Tanned", where Marie-Anne played the role of young secretary Zhizhi. Then, in 1979, the sequel to the comedy "Tanned Skiing" was released. The actress also took part in the third film, shot almost 30 years later - "Funny and Tanned / Les Bronzes 3 - Amis pour la vie".
In 1981 in the theater, and in 1982 in the cinema, she played the role of Zesetta in "Santa Claus is a scumbag". Marie-Ann also took part in such films as "The Depraved Life of Gerard Flock" (1986), "Aliens" (1992), "Revenge of the Blonde" (1994), "The Sisters of Salt" (1996).
