Soviet and Russian musical director, choreographer, ballet dancer and actor Gali Abayulov was born in Leningrad in 1953. He graduated from the choreographic school in his hometown, then moved to the capital and entered GITIS.
In 1977, Abayulov returned home and got a job at the Leningrad Maly Theater. Here he became the first performer of the roles of Spiegelberg in Robbers (1982, choreographer Boyarchikov), Boss in the Legend of the Donenby Bird (1983, choreographer Lebedev), and the Ugly Duckling in the performance of the same name (1984, choreographer Lebedev).
In 1979 the first film with Gali Abaydulov was released under the title Stranger. Since then, Abaydulov has starred in dozens of full-length feature films and television series, including: House by the Road; Pericola; Cross the line; Blue Cities; Myth; Island of the lost ships; Presumption of innocence; Dangerous man; Cyrano de Bergerac; Jokes; Blood drinkers; A beautiful stranger; A game; Devil dance; Curse of Duran; Love, a harbinger of sorrow; Passion for Nero; Flint; Russian Ark; Named Baron; Russian Specialist; Poor Nastya; Mars; Golden Medusa and many others.
