Boris Sichkin is known as a Soviet film actor, choreographer and dancer. His father was Jewish and worked as a shoemaker. When Boris was 4 years old, his father was gone. The elder brother taught Boris to dance. The brothers gave their first performances in the Jewish market. Boris was expelled from school after his escape from his home. However, this did not prevent Boris from entering the Kiev Choreographic School in 1937, as well as studying in the Ukrainian artistic professional collective of the Dance Assembly of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1941 Boris Sichkin moved to the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kiev Military District. He performed as a member of the front-line ensemble. There he had the opportunity to meet the future People's Artists of Ukraine: the Soviet comedian Yuri Timoshenko, the actor Yefim Berezina, the Ukrainian ballet dancer Alexander Segal and the choreographer Boris Kamenkovich. In 1947, viewers could watch Boris Sichkin as a soloist of the largest art group in Russia - the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army named after I. A. V. Alexandrova. In 1948 Boris Sichkin became an artist of the oldest cultural organization in Moscow, the Mosconcert. The parody theater Blue Bird, which was directed by the Soviet writer V. Yu.Dragunsky, has become a place of work for the actor Sichkin since 1955. In this theater, Sichkin had the opportunity to perform sideshows, was a choreographer and lyricist. Sichkin was also a member of the Kroshka backstage theater and the orchestra of jazz trumpeter Eddie Rosner. Sichkin was invited as a choreographer for many variety programs and numbers.
