Alexander Basov - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born September 16, 1965 in Moscow.
The son of V.P. Basov and Valentina Titova.
In 1982 he entered the directing department of VGIK, studied with Sergei Gerasimov and Igor Talankin, graduated in 1992 (workshop of Marlen Khutsiev) .
Commissioned by TASS, he shot documentaries: "The Price of Freedom" (about human rights defenders), "Citizen of Eurasia" (about Narsultan Nazarbayev), "The Commander's Heart" (about General Rokhlin). On NTV, he shot a number of documentaries from the Criminal Russia cycle, among which - On the Trail of Satan (about Chikatilo), "The Announcement Killer", "Features of the National Showdown", "In the Devil's Networks".
