In 1929 she graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Performing Arts, after which she worked at the Leningrad Theater Proletkulta.
Since 1935 - at the Leningrad Comedy Theater.
I.P. Zarubina died on May 20, 1976. She was buried at the Komarovsky cemetery in St. Petersburg. The grave is a monument of cultural and historical heritage.
