Born January 2, 1987, Destrehan, Louisiana, USA - American actress.
In November 2003, she made her debut in a beauty pageant and received the title "Young Miss Louisiana USA". In August, Hennig represented Louisiana in the Miss Young USA 2004 pageant in Palm Springs, California. She became the first Louisiana girl to win a national title since Ali Landry (Miss USA 1996.
During her triumph, Hennig was a frequent guest on television and public speaking, and worked for non-profit organizations. Her “reign” ended on August 8, 2005 when she handed the crown to Allie LaForse of Ohio. Hennig was a distinguished student at Destrehan High School. At school age, she began to practice dancing, won many awards in dance competitions. Shelley loved to write, two of her poems were published in a collection of poetry by young authors. At the age of 14, she lost her older brother, who died in a car accident due to the fault of a drunk driver. In the aftermath of this tragedy, Hennig began to speak out against underage drinking and was involved with a non-profit organization called CADA (Council on Alcohol and Drug Addiction) .
After handing over her crown, Hennig became a member of the MTV reality show, tried to win with her own project, After the Crown, but was suspended. On April 20, 2007, Hennig joined the cast of Days of Our Lives, playing the role of Stephanie Johnson. In 2010 she was nominated for
From 2011-2012 she played the main role (Diana Mead) in the series The Secret Circle, based on the book by L.J. Smith. On May 11, 2012, it was announced that the series had not been renewed for a second season due to low ratings. Shelley appeared on Zach Stone Gonna Go Popular as Christy Ackerman. Hennig is currently filming MTV's Teen Wolf as Malia Hale-Tate. Settled into the main cast for seasons 4.5 and 6.
