Born May 26, 1960 in Nanterre, France, to an Algerian family. Slimane has 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Since childhood Slimane loved to play football and by the age of 15 he was playing at a fairly high level - but even then Dazy knew that he would never become a professional player, as he dreamed of linking his career with cinema.
Dazy began his acting career only in middle age - with short films. Before that, he worked as a driver and was waiting for the opportunity to try his hand at cinema.
Each new acting job opened up new opportunities for Slimane: in 2007 he starred in the TV series On the Edge of a Knife and Community, in 2009 he played a minor role in Jacques Audiar's film The Prophet, in 2012 - the main role in the film "Refrain". For his work in this film, the actor received the Vues d'Afrique award in the Best Actor nomination and the Dakar award in the same nomination.
The next opportunity to declare himself Slimane got in the films "Free people", "Forcibly", "I did not die" and "This way is before me." In 2013, Slimane played a supporting role in Jim Jarmusch's film "Only Lovers Left Alive", where Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Anton Yelchin also played. In 2016, the actor starred in the comedy film With Things To Fly!
