Born October 26, 1952 - American actress, theater director and singer. In 2008, Reed won a Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Play for her role as Mattie Fey Aiken in the Broadway production of August: Osage County .
Reed graduated from the University of Illinois and was a member of the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago, Illinois for three decades, where she appeared in over sixty productions as an actress and director. In 1990, Reed made her Broadway debut in The Grapes of Anger, and in 2009 took on the role of Madame Morrible in the musical Wicked. In addition to her theatrical career, Reed has appeared in supporting roles in several motion pictures and television shows. Rhondy Reed is best known for her role as Peggy Biggs on the CBS sitcom Mike and Molly, where she starred from 2010 to 2016.
