Born January 11, 1958 - American dancer and actress.
She began her career in theatrical musicals in the late seventies. She made her Broadway debut in 1978 and in the years that followed achieved success with roles in productions such as Cabaret, which earned her a Tony Award nomination. She also played the role of Marilyn Monroe in the 1984 musical Marilyn, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk .
In 1985, Alison Reid played the female lead in the film Corps de Ballet opposite Michael Douglas, an adaptation of the Broadway show of the same name. She also starred in the 1989 film To the Bone and in the following years was active mainly on television, where she played supporting roles in various TV shows such as "The Five of Us," "Providence," and "Desperate Housewives." She is also best known for her role in the High School Musical film series.
