Born July 15, 1986, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA - American actor and producer.
Raised in the family of a Muslim father, Yahya Abdul-Matin I (John Ford), and a Christian mother, Mary. He spent his childhood at the Magnolia Project in New Orleans and then moved to Oakland, California, where he attended McClimonds High School. In 2004 he entered college where he ran hurdles for the California Golden Bears. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in architecture, and then he worked as a city planner in San Francisco. He always wanted to be an actor, so he later earned a Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama and worked as a stage actor.
In 2016, Abdul-Matin began his career in Baz Luhrmann's musical drama series "Otzhig".
