1908-1990 - American film actress, whose career began as a child in the 1910s and ended in 1933.
She was the younger sister of actress Alice Day. Marceline's career as an actress began as a teenager, she and her sister appeared in the comedy short film by Mac Sennett "Choice of Peaches." Later that year, she played for Cause Lord in Black Oxfords; and in the same, debut year, the young actress also played in several short comedy films. Gradually, her roles became more and more important, and soon Marceline played on the same stage with such famous actors as Norman Kerry, John Barrymore, Lon Cheney. In 1926, she was fortunate enough to become one of the 13 young stars of the WAMPAS Baby Stars advertising campaign; This is what helped Marceline to get a role in Alan Crosland's 1927 historical drama The Beloved Rogue, where the young actress met the great actor John Barrymore on the set. Marceline Day played her last film role in 1933; it was the Parson Struggle Western. In the same 1933 she had to play in another western, which became quite popular - Tenney Wright's film "Telegraph" about the confrontation of the Indians with the "white". However, the career of the actress still came to naught. After that, Marceline tried herself as an actress on the radio. Since the end of her acting career, she has been reluctant to talk about her past craft and has never been interviewed. The actress married twice - her first husband was producer Arthur J. Klein, Marceline remarried to John Arthur in 1959. Marceline Day died of natural causes on February 19, 2000 in Cathedral City, California at the age of 91.
