Actors and actresses under his leadership were nominated for "Oscar" 36 times, of which - 14 victories. Winner of three Oscars for his production of films that were recognized by the American Film Academy as the best films of the year: Mrs Miniver (1942), The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) and Ben Hur (1959).
