Born October 21, 1949 - American actress, producer and theater director.
Graduated from Spelman Women's College in 1974. During this period, she met her future husband, Samuel L. Jackson, whom Richardson married in 1980. Her acting debut took place in 1976 on the off-Broadway stage, after which she actively appeared in many other productions. In 2014, Richardson received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in Raisins in the Sun.
