June 28, 1894 - March 3, 1988 - American actress.
She was born in Pittsburgh, but as a child she moved to Alabama with her family. After graduating from college, Wilson worked as an elementary school teacher for some time, but then decided to link her career with cinema. After winning a local beauty pageant, she moved to Hollywood, where in 1915 she got a job as an actress at the Victor Film Company. In 1919, Wilston signed a contract with the Paramount Pictures film studio, where she filmed productively until 1927. Among the most significant paintings of that time with her participation - "Miss Lulu Batt" (1921) and "Covered Van" (1923). In 1922, the actress was included in the first list of "WAMPAS Baby Stars" .
In addition, she also had notable roles in The Disappearing American (1925), The Great Gatsby (1926), Shining Eyes (1934) and The Wedding Gift (1936). By the end of the 1930s, the actress had almost completely left the big screen, devoting herself to work in the theater, including in Broadway productions. Since the beginning of the era of television, Wilson has performed a number of roles in television series in the early 1950s. The actress died in 1988 from pneumonia in Nevada at the age of 93. Fox Wilson is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California. Her contributions to the US film industry are starred on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
