Born November 30, 1955, American theater, film, television, and voice actor. In 1980, Conroy decided to try his hand at television and moved to California. He gets a role in the daily soap opera Underworld. At the Old Globe Theater, San Diego, he plays Hamlet in a Midsummer Night's Dream. From 1980 to 1985, he performed in a variety of classical and contemporary theaters, including the Broadway production of Eastern Standard and Lolita in the Edward Alby adaptation. In 1984, he reprized the role of Hamlet at the New York Shakespeare Festival. He then returned to television with the 1985 television film Covenant and the television series Search for Tomorrow. He also starred in Ohara in 1987, and as a Commander on Business Travel from 1987 to 1988, before appearing in a series of television films. Initially receiving the role of one of the main characters of the series, he was deprived of it during the filming in Hawaii. Conroy is noted for being the first Batman in animation to use separate voices for Batman and Bruce Wayne, first done before him by Michael Keaton in Tim Burton's Batman. As Batman, Conroy has appeared longer than any other performer in this role. Outside the DCAU, Conroy returned to the DC Universe Animated Original Movies animated DVDs: Batman: Gotham Knight (2008), Superman / Batman: Public Enemies (2009), Superman / Batman: Apocalypse (2010), Justice League: Doom (2012) ), Justice League: The Source of Conflict Paradox (2013) and Batman: Assault on Arkham (2014) .
After the September 11 bombings in New York, Conroy volunteered for training for officers and firefighters. In the comments to Batman: Gotham Knight, Conroy recalled how surprised he was by the reaction to his presence from the ambulance workers. There he did not fail to use the "voice of Batman" to utter his signature phrase while cooking: "I am retribution! I am the night! I AM BATMAN!" (from "Nothing to Fear" in Batman: The Animated Series) This line was met with applause from staff, many of whom were fans of the 1990s animated series. Conroy admitted that he was very embarrassed and deeply moved by this reaction. Before the release of The Dark Knight Rises, Conroy voiced the words of Christian Bale for an animated version of one of the movie's trailers. He returned to the role of Batman in the most popular games Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) and Batman: Arkham City (2011), gaining even more prominence in fan circles. At Dallas Comic Con 2013, Conroy revealed that he is working on the next project for the franchise. However, in June 2013 it was revealed that in Batman: Arkham Origins, the young Dark Knight would be voiced by Roger Craig Smith. On March 4, 2014, it turned out that Conroy's "next project" was the final Batman game: Arkham Knight.
