Born December 9, 1933 - Brazilian actor, director.
He performed his first important roles on the theater stage in the Teatro de Arena, in plays by Gianfrancesco Guarnieri and Augusta Boal. In the theater, he acted not only as an actor, but also as a sound engineer, producer, master of lighting.
He became one of the first actors invited to the Globa TV channel, created in 1965. In 1976, he acted as the second director of the world famous Slave Izaura. In parallel, his film career began to develop. The number of his film works has long exceeded a hundred.
As an activist of the "black movement" in Brazil, in the 1990s he was a candidate for governor of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Since the mid-1980s, he has been combining artistic activities with work in government positions. Milton Gonsalves is a member of the Brazilian Democratic Movement Party.
