Born July 7, 1972 - American television actress.
She appeared in several amateur productions before starting her television career. Wangsness is best known for her role as staff programmer Penelope Garcia on the long-running Criminal Minds. She played this role in his Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior spin-off, which was canceled after one season. During his filming, she worked as a regular on both shows. Wangsness is openly lesbian and has lived with her friend Melanie Goldstein since 2006. Wangsness describes himself as Queer.
