Born February 19, 1970, Asheville is an American actress.
She graduated from high school in 1987 and graduated from Yale University in 1991. After she began her career in the theater, in 1997 she appeared in the Broadway musical Life. Then she appeared in the films "We Were Soldiers" and "Mission Impossible 3", and also actively began to appear on television.
Bellamy Young has appeared in several dozen different television series throughout her career. Young is best known for her role as Ellen Darling in the television series Dirty Wet Money, where she starred from 2007 to 2008, as well as recurring roles in the series CSI: Miami Crime Scene, The Clinic and Criminal Minds .
Since 2012, Young has played the role of US First Lady Mellie Grant in the ABC television series Scandal, produced by Shonda Rhimes. Although she was not a regular actor, she appeared in all episodes of the first season, and was promoted to regular status from the second. The role earned her critical acclaim and a 2014 Television Critics' Choice Award.
