Born May 24, 1972, Paradise, New York is an American television screenwriter, producer, and director.

Berlanti studied at Northwestern University and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He was the producer and screenwriter of the Dawson's Creek series and its spin-off Young Americans. He is widely known as the author, executive producer and showrunner of "Widower's Love". He is the creator of the TV series Jack and Bobby. Berlanti also wrote and directed The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy about a group of gay friends living in West Hollywood - the plot and characters are copied from Berlanti and his friends.

In August 2006, Berlanti signed an agreement with Touchstone Television and ABC to create several pilots. In addition, Berlanti has ended his collaboration with his permanent creative partner Mickey Liddell. At the same time, it became known that Berlanti was working as a consultant on the ABC show "Brothers and Sisters" - previous executive producer Marty Noxon left the show as a result of a conflict with Joe Robin Beitz. Greg is currently serving as Executive Producer. Berlanti also worked as an executive producer on the show "Dirty Wet Money", which premiered on September 26, 2007 on the ABC channel.

Together with Mark Guggenheim he co-wrote the pilot for ABC's Eli Stone, which premiered in 2008. Greg also served as an executive producer. Berlanti has been involved in promoting the theory that a mercury-based vaccine can help fight autism. The scientific community did not support the theory, but noted that thanks to the show, the proportion of vaccinations among children increased. In defense of the pilot, Berlanti replied: "It seems to me that they wanted us to thoroughly study the problems - and that's what we did."

Was a candidate for the director's chair for Green Lantern, for which he co-wrote the script. Berlanti directed the 2010 film Life As It Is, starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel.
