Born December 1, 1957, Nairobi, Kenya - British Indian-born midget actor, stunt performer, puppeteer. He made his acting debut in 1976 on Target of The New Avengers, in which he played Clocky. In the same year, he starred in The Pink Panther Strikes Again as an Italian assassin. At the very beginning of his career, he got the role of Mr. Sin, a villain with a pronounced thirst for murder, in the series "Doctor Who" - the episode "Claws of Weng-Chang" (1977). Played in four episodes of Blake's Seven (1978-1980) .
Deep Roy played apes in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984) and in Tim Burton's 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes. He played in two other Tim Burton films, Big Fish (2003) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005). In the latter, Deep Roy played 165 little workers of a chocolate factory at once - umpa-loomps. For this role, he practiced yoga, dancing and learned to play several instruments. General Bonesapart speaks in his voice in the animation project of the same director "Corpse Bride" (2005) .
As an actor, he also starred in the films Benji's Christmas Adventures (1978), Flash Gordon (1980), Return to Oz (1985), Fatal Woman (1989) Obrazina (1993), The X-Files "(2001).
