Born August 9, 1976 - American actress.
She graduated from Harvard-Westlake School in 1994 and Brown University in 1998, where she received her BA in English Literature. She then took acting lessons at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
Jessica Capshaw began her acting career while studying at Brown University, taking part in the university productions of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Arcadia. In 1997, she made her big screen debut in the film Locust. She then starred in films such as Something About Sex and Love Letter, and in 1999 she starred as a guest actress on the TV series Ambulance .
Capshaw first appeared as a regular in the comedy series Lost in the 1999-2000 season. She then joined the final two seasons of the legal drama The Practice, and in 2009 she landed the role of Dr. Arizona Robbins on Grey's Anatomy. She was promoted to the main squad starting in the sixth season
