Has performed many roles in cinema and television productions. Known to the viewer for the role of Lieutenant Pavel Chekhov in the television series "Star Trek: The Original Series". Also played the role of Alfred Bester in the TV series Babylon 5 .
The actor graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Walter's parents were Jewish immigrants from Lithuania; when they moved, Sarah (nee Strauss) and Isador changed their surnames from Konigsberg to Konig. Walter's father was a businessman.
