Born July 12, 1943 in the family of the famous American artist Walter Tandy Murch.

Educated at a private, closed school in Manhattan. After leaving school, Walter became a student at Johns Hopkins University. In 1965 he already had a higher education diploma. During his studies, Walter joined the Phi Beta Kappa student fraternity.
