Noah grew up as a shy child. When he was ten, his mother enrolled him in the ATA Martial Arts section in Carrollton, which is part of the American Taekwondo Association (ATA for short). Initially, he went there extremely reluctantly, but soon became involved and loved the classes. Ringer quickly became successful and soon began participating in tournaments. In December 2008 he received his first black belt. Because Ringer walked with a shaved head, classmates nicknamed him "Avatar" (due to the similarity with Aang, a character from the animated series Avatar: The Legend of Aang.
