Noah Taylor was born on September 4, 1969 in London. His parents were engaged in similar activities, both were journalists and book editors. Mother Maggie and father Paul were Australian by origin, but lived in England and, a few years after Noah's birth, decided to return to Australia. When they settled in the suburbs of Melbourne, little Taylor was only 5 years old. Noah's parents divorced when he was 14. After that, he started having problems at school, which he soon left.
At first, Noah had no idea that he wanted to become an actor, his hobby consisted in participating in small productions on weekends, which soon grew into a full-fledged hobby, and then into a full-scale profession. Noah played at the St. Martin Theater, where he interested directors and soon received an invitation to TV. The first appearance in front of the camera happened in 1987. After some time, Noah went to Sydney, where a misfortune happened to him and his childhood friend: a friend committed suicide by throwing himself on the rails, right in front of young Taylor. This was a very difficult test for Noah, which he barely overcame.
