The band released their debut album Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam with Full Force in 1985. The Personal Records label rented their single, "I Wonder If I Take You Home" to the European division of CBS Records for the Breakdancing album. ... Then the track became very popular and it hit the top of the R&B charts and peaked at # 6, and then on the POP charts, it took as much as # 34 in the summer of 1985. The single eventually went gold.
