Born February 9, 1957, Ixelles, Brabant, Belgium - Belgian film director, screenwriter, actor and producer.
Studied at the National High School for Performing Arts and Mass Communication Techniques (INSAS) in Brussels, at the National High School Louis Lumiere in Paris.
The future director began his career as a professional clown and for a long time did not want anything better than to amuse children. I shot short films, not hoping to make money on it. At 34 he made his debut "Toto the Hero", which no one dared to fit into any current trend - however, contrary to logic, the film took the "Golden Camera" for its debut in Cannes, and the director became famous. The next film, "Day Eight", he shot only five years later. Success again, with the Cannes Acting Awards and a Golden Globe nomination.
