Born March 30, 1981 - American actress and model.
Graduated from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2003 she moved to Los Angeles, where she soon began a career in cabaret and on screen. She has appeared in supporting roles in several comedy films including Blind Date, Four Christmases and All About Steve, where Mixon used her southern accent.
Mixon is best known for her roles in television sitcoms. She starred in the HBO sitcom On the Bottom from 2009 to 2013. In 2010, she also began to play the role of Melissa McCarthy's close-minded sister on the CBS sitcom Mike and Molly. The show ended in 2016 after six seasons. Afterwards, Mixon was cast to star in the ABC sitcom American Housewife, playing the mother of three overweight children.
Since 2012, Katie has been in a de facto marriage with javelin thrower Bro Greer; they are also engaged. On December 1, 2016, it became known that the couple was expecting the appearance of their first-born son in the spring.
