Born September 19, 1949 - American actor and voice actor.
After graduating from Westlake High School, he entered the University of Miami, where he studied at the Faculty of Performing Arts and participated in productions of the student theater "The Jerry Herman Ring Theater". Ernie also began his acting career in the theater, and in 1980 made his screen debut, appearing on television with one of his Broadway numbers.
The audience knows Sabella, first of all, as the "voice" of the warthog Pumbaa from the "The Lion King" franchise .
Other notable screen works of the actor were the films Mousehunt, In & Out, Quiz Show and the series Perfect Strangers, Saved by the Bell, The Practice, Hill Street Blues .
In 1996, Ernie Sabella was nominated for an Emmy in the category "Best Animated Actor" for his voice acting on the series Timon & Pumbaa.
