Born January 20, 1963 - American actor.
He studied at the University of Tennessee and received his degree in advertising, but he did not work in this field for long. At the age of twenty-three, he began acting in the Chicago theater before moving to California. Denton has appeared in several small movies and episodes of TV series such as Slither, and in 1997-2000 he had a minor role as a villain in the series The Pretender. Since then, he has had regular roles in the short-lived ABC dramas Philadelphia (2001-2002) with Kim Delaney, as well as The Matrix Menace (2003-2004), where he played the lead character. In addition to this, he has appeared as a guest on Ellie McBeal, The West Wing and the Military Legal Service .
In 2004, shortly after the closure of his show The Matrix Menace, ABC recruited Denton in its new series Desperate Housewives, where he played Mike Delfino, the main male character. The series was an instant success and the role subsequently brought Denton the greatest fame. His character was killed in the spring of 2012, several episodes before the series finale. After the series ended, Denton was a guest on an episode of the sitcom Pretty Women in Cleveland and also starred in the Lifetime TV movie The Exclusion .
In 2015, Denton began filming with Catherine Bell on her Hallmark series The Good Witch.
