In 1997 in Hamburg, Germany, with the release of the first demo cassette from the Eimsbush Tapes series, the story of one of the brightest German-speaking MC Samy Deluxe begins. This cassette, which sold 10,000 copies, contained 8 songs by Dynamite Deluxe, which consisted of MC Sammy Deluxe, DJ DJ Dynamite and beatmaker Tropf. In many ways, this cassette was a big breakthrough in German hip-hop and at the same time served as the beginning of a successful career for the young MC. After the release of this demo, Sammy often appears as a guest MC on the albums of his friends, with whom he began to read his lyrics in the basement of Hamburg's Eimsbuttel. His couplets adorn the albums of the bands Absolute Beginner, EinsZwo, Fuenf Sterne Deluxe, and in 2000 a full-length album by the group Dynamite Deluxe appeared under the name Deluxe Soundsystem. This was the album that was expected and which did not disappoint many of Samy's fans. Filled with reggae vibrations and New York funk, thickly seasoned with grass smoked during recording, a record came out of a basement in Hamburg, which became for German rap what Doctor Dre's "The Chronic" became for American rap, as the magazine wrote in the comments to this album Juice. However, Sammy does not stop there - a year later, the first solo album SAMY DELUXE is released, in parallel with the recording of albums, Sammy participates in the release of vinyl-only singles from the Style Liga, where almost all of his old friends from Hamburg participate (Absolute Beginner, EinsZwo, Fuenf Sterne Deluxe, Doppelkopf), but only under pseudonyms.
