Born November 23, 1933, New York, USA - American producer, director, screenwriter and actor.
Graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia in 1954.
Served in the American army, volunteered in Israel's six-day war with Arab countries.
After returning to the United States, he became interested in jazz. He played trumpet in the Beverly Hills Unlisted Jazz Band. Then he entered the law faculty of one of the universities in New York. Later he left for Paris to get acquainted with French cinema and study. He worked for some time in Europe as a producer and returned to the USA.
Paul Maslansky participated in the creation of the joint Soviet-British-Italian feature film The Red Tent by Mikhail Kalatozov (1969) and was the producer of the Soviet-American musical fairy tale film Blue Bird (1976).
