Since its founding at the end of 2005, the Essex group Postmortem Promises has not stood still - developing music, lyrics and developing its position. After she unexpectedly caught the attention of the British metal underground with her debut EP 'We Play Weddings', PMP was quickly spotted by Thirty Days of Night records, the home label of legendary British sex symbols Bring me the Horizon. The self-titled five-track EP was released in 2006 on TDON, continuing to spread unique music that combines elements of hardcore and death metal.
Postmortem Promises spent the next two years traveling the world and playing over two hundred concerts, sharing the stage with the likes of The Red Chord, Despised Icon and Suicide Silence. All this, as well as such large social networks as Myspace and Facebook, have increased the number of fans of the group all over the world.
2008 saw PMP's biggest breakthrough ever - they signed to legendary British label Siege of Amida Records. This gave them the opportunity to fully realize themselves and record their debut full-length album 'On Broken Foundations', containing all the power and experience that the group has managed to accumulate over the five years of its existence. Without reinventing the wheel, but using the same death metal, groove and hardcore, Postmortem Promises still did not become like other stage groups of the same type - they brought something new to modern music.
At the end of 2010, the band announced their disbandment and a farewell tour in early 2011.
