Born August 22, 1967, Leonardtown, Maryland, USA is an American screenwriter and film and television producer.

In 1985, he graduated from St. Mary's Ryken in her hometown, 1989 - Catholic University of America in Washington. After that, Gough left for California, where he attended a production course at the University of Southern California. There he met British screenwriter and producer Myles Millar. While studying in California, they co-wrote the script for "Mango," in which an orangutan was assigned to a police officer with an allergy to animal hair.
